Meet Yeya, the artist behind the blooming new pop EP, Monarch . This musical debut tells the story of how Yeya came to LA with just her son, and aimed everything she had at her music, never to look back. With a deep and moody intro, and a compelling story, the first track quickly expands and bursts into a fun rhythmic chorus, with reggae influence. With everything from EDM, to Lo-Fi pop & R&B, Yeya’s album challenges the idea of the ‘genre,’ and captures her versatility as an artist. Through an internship, she then connected with Spotify, helping her to record the Monarch EP. The EP then garnered the attention of Spotify reps, and well-known EDM duo, the EC Twins, leading to many opportunities. Yeya has performed with the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, and been featured in music videos with Cordae, Tyga, etc. Her largest performance to date was at the Staples Center for the WNBA Finals, where she sang for 13,000 basketball fans.
